This is a must try Hot Buttered Rum Recipe that uses fresh persimmons! Full of warmth, the right amount of spice, and of course a bit of butter to make for the perfect holiday sip. Enjoy!

Equipment

  • 1 Mug or Glass of Choice
  • 1 Jigger
  • 1 Milk Frother

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup Hot Buttered Rum Base Instructions in Post
  • 1 oz Rum
  • ½ oz Cinnamon & Star Anise Simple Syrup Instructions in Post
  • Hot Water
  • 1 stick Cinnamon For Garnish

Instructions

  • In glass add ¼ cup of the Hot Buttered Rum Base
  • Add a bit of boiling water filling the glass only about half way
  • Use Milk Frother to fully mix the hot water and the hot buttered rum base together
  • Add Rum into glass
  • Add Cinnamon & Star Anise simple syrup into the glass
  • Fill the remainder of the glass with boiling water
  • Give the cocktail a quick stir
  • Grate a stick of fresh cinnamon on top of cocktail for garnish
  • Enjoy!
