Spicy Margarita

Fresh, Spicy, Classic Recipe that will have your tastebuds wanting more and more! The Margarita stepped it up a notch with delicious roasted jalapeño's. Enjoy!

Equipment

  • 1 Boston Shaker
  • 1 Hawthorne Strainer
  • 1 Bar Jigger
  • 1 Citrus Juicer
  • 1 Bar Muddler
  • 1 Double Rocks Glass

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Blanco Tequila
  • ¾ oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • ½ oz Dry Curaçao
  • ¼ oz Agave Nectar
  • 1 Roasted Jalapeño

Instructions

  • Take three cut pieces of your Roasted Jalapeño and drop them into your small tin (Instructions on roasting jalapeño in Blog Post)
  • Take your Muddler and push down on your Jalapeño pieces making them into a mash
  • In your small tin add 2 oz of Blanco Tequila
  • In your small tin add ¾ oz of Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
  • In your small tin add ¼ oz of Agave Nectar
  • In your small tin add ½ oz Dry Curaçao
  • Rim your Glassware with a lime wedge and press down onto your pre made plates of Tajin and Salt (Instructions in Blog Post)
  • Fill glassware to the brim with ice
  • In large tin add about 6 pieces of ice
  • Combine tins, make a good seal, and vigorously shake for 15-20 seconds
  • Break seal and use your Hawthorne Strainer to empty contents into your glassware
  • If you do not want any seeds or Jalapeño pieces entering drink, double strain with a fine cocktail strainer
  • Garnish with a THIN lime wheel resting on top of drink and extra pieces of roasted Jalapeño's sprinkled on top of cocktail
